These days, everybody’s on the worship bandwagon. Or are they? In scripture, there’s not one reference to music as a sole form of worship. Praise yes. We may praise Him with our music, but we can only truly worship Him in following Him:
through the essence of our very being, the way we live our lives, our actions.
“Port of Entry” is a praise band and our mission is simple: To spread the Word, the Gospel, the Good News in celebration and joy and raise funds for needy causes via benefit events. We will not ask you to stand, sing, clap, or dance, but you are more than welcome to do so whenever the spirit moves you. Neither will we apologize for our enthusiasm.
Jesus’ followers come in every age shape and size. In our present time, it is apparent that not all followers of Jesus appreciate the same type of praise music. In any event, the music and lyrics must indeed point to Christ and nowhere else. “Port of Entry” offers a vivacious collection of music presented in what is basically a Rock format. “Rock for The Rock” and “From Him and for Him” are just two examples of our statement of belief.
Our ever-pending benefit album, “Below the Surface” reflects the fire and passion of lives changed—lives changed in a way only possible with The Living God.
We invite you to come and participate in one of our Praise (and worship) or benefit events. Come one, come all, just as you are. No matter where you may stand on the “religious ladder” you are sure to enjoy yourself. The sole purpose of our ministry is to provide yet another port of entry to God’s Kingdom whether you know Him, seek Him, or are fully unacquainted with Him.
In the interest of outreach, we will also hold benefit events in non-church settings. Here, church go-ers can invite non-believer friends with confidence, meaning there will be no surprises. The show and the music focused on the cause. Period! The Lord will do the rest.
